Checkered-checkers

I've been a total sucker for tartan lately. There's something about how those lines criss-cross, and the way the colors contrast each other that captures your easily distracted eyes.

It's crazily-interesting that today, I went to the bundle store in a checkered top. The man at the counter, who actually learned to recognize me, said that he had something I would like. He picked out a checkered top, nicely red and white, and passed it to me.

"It's only five bucks," he said, and smiled.
I looked at it, then at him, and smiled.
Well,what else could I say?

I know it's kind of like the latest craze. Maybe, maybe not, but still, checkers are seen nearly in every store you visit. You barely notice them, but you do, but you don't. No that doesn't make sense! Simply like how the criss-crossing on the checkered top never makes sense when you follow them from end to end to uncover the mystery of  "Which Color Came First."

Now, if only our weather were just a little cooler, we could wear them in wool, their first-intended-for material. In my opinion however, if you would like to hear it, I find wool itchy. Yes, very itchy, and uncomfortable to the feel of the skin. They're excellent for cold weather however, because of their most warming uses, or, their ability to retain heat. Plus, the winter air would numb you so well, that you wouldn't exactly feel the itchy influence of wool.

Anyways, all that said, I like tartan, or what you can call checkers. They look great! And I bet it would look great on you!!!!!!!! hahaha.

Toodles. ;)

Hello There My friend!!!

I have nothing much to blog about, but still am. partly because I want to, and partly because I'm wasting time. but well. blogging isn't really wasting time is it?

I went to the super mart Cowboy today. It turns out, you can find practically anything in there. From towels, to fake flowers, to air compressors, to 'kit-kats', to turpentine and paint, to chef uniforms, to samurai swords, to linoleum, to birdcages, the list goes on!
There are even several types of machetes filling large baskets set in a row. The terrible danger of this place is not those very-sharp-and-can-kill-you tools, but the fact that once you step into the place, you cannot stop looking through all their stuff, and it is unfortunately impossible for you to get out of the place to pay.

There are four points why you cannot leave this place.

Firstly, your basket would be overflowing with inanimate objects of variety, you would then find that you did not bring enough money for all that funda.

Secondly, you are walking towards the exit door, but somehow you get distracted by some other what-not found in this place.

Thirdly, You died of inhaling too much dust and along with that, dust-mites.

Last up would be the fourth reason why you cannot leave Super Cowboy:- You did not come alone, but walked in with a group, and they are nowhere to be seen, and are as vulnerable to the four reasons why you cannot leave Super Cowboy as you are.

My say, would be that Super Cowboy is the place to go to when you really need something unfindable, but you have to remember that you are putting yourself at risk to be walking into there. My conclusion?
Oh for all that entertaining jungle of goods,
I would not miss a thing.

And there you have it, I have befallen the Super Cowboy spell.

Themed

So I sat around and thought again that my blog should have a main theme, but I came to none. I guess there's just no theme for art. Art is free-going. It's variable, its unconstrained. And this blog is free going, and thus it's theme is not to have a particular theme, but to be free and unconstrained. Mission accomplished! The whole theme thing over. haha

now what. =P

Old and dusty but everlasting

There's just something about old novels. The way they are bound in cloth or leather makes it comfortable to hold. The way they make your nose itch once you hold them because you've swept the lazy dust enveloping the book with your fingertips makes it special. And when you look into the pages, you see that the papers are discolored, with random ocher splotches. Pages, almost ready to leap out of the book and float like autumn leaves ever longing to influence the floor calls you deep into their spell. How you have to be extra gentle to them makes them feel precious. Also, the black uneven words, printed with care are playful yet soothing to the eyes. I love old books.

People took so much time and precious care to beautify what they love. Why? because they loved what they do, and did what they love. They believed in what they do and think. They wanted to adorn the world with what they thought would make it better, and with what good knowledge they had. They had intention.

These books are not merely dead pages, but works of art, once of great meaning to ordinary people who became great because of how much this meant to them. And that's what I, we, should aspire to be. =)

Are we human or are we dancers?

Tiled

As you can see, I kinda really like making collages at the moment. Different viewpoints of an object will give a different result. That's what I like about collages. You combine possibilities. Anyways, I just stood on a nerd. oh joy. (It's a candy by the way, for those who do not know) Oh, I've been reading a book by Agatha Christie and I picked it up simply because it's cover is plain red. How enticing. I just ate raw onion, and yeah. I'll leave out the details. So umm.. have a great day? :D
