Men's folly

What's this burning of the Quran that I hear off?

I do not see the sense in all that. I mean it is clearly stated in the Bible many times that above all things, you should love your neighbour, not 'take your neighbour's book and burn it.'

This is so not the God I know! This is men putting themselves first, and rashly giving up.

The amount of effort they are putting in this, would it not give more to lend a helping hand to someone you know in need? It's simply the easy way out to choose war.

There are many texts in the Bible that talks about peace.

Colossians 3:15
"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called one body; and be ye thankful."

1 Timothy 5:22
"Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins : keep thyself pure."

How I apologize on the folly of those men. Have they such little faith?

Oh beware of drifting far from God for the less we rely on him, the more space we leave for the devil to walk in.

Men is men. We interpret wrongly, we put our own thoughts before us before we look for what is right.
Men is men, we sin, we hurt each other, we say the wrong things at the wrong time.
We cannot fulfill every law. We sin before we have the time to repent. We are so sinful. So lost in conceit, so far from being loving. We fail.

But this is all the more reason why we need Christ. Why He came for us, why the only way we can ever ever understand him, is to believe in him. He is the only way out of all these mess we make. He is the one who takes us away from sin.

1 Peter 1:22-23
22 "Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently."
23 " Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever."
